I can be reached at if you'd like to talk about it. It turns over nicely with no bearing wear that I can feel. It is in excellent shape with no cracks, breaks, or repairs that I can see know of and looks to have been rebuilt the recent past. It is counter clockwise rotation and the impulse works as should.
This is a very hard to find original Dixie 246-T 2-cylinder base mount magneto. Let the pictures be your guide. It mounts on a 2 inch square bolt pattern and the mounting threads are in great shape.
It has good magnetism and puts out a nice blue spark on both readouts. It was used on the waterloo boy and early john deere tractors power units probably had other 2-cylinder applications. These original Dixie 246-T magnetos are almost impossible to find in the wild or even at swap meets so if you've been looking for one an authentic restoration heres a really nice. Everything inside the points cover looks to be in great shape.
Everything works as it should.
