There looks to be a little casting flaw, air pocket I am pointing the area with pen in pictures. Valve seats have some small pitted areas. See pictures for the absolute best. Bare head for a 1/2HP John Deere e.

I don't see any breaks or cracks. This item is old, used, and sold as. I don't see it being a issue and doesn go clear through. All threads look good and usable however the exhaust where fuel needle valve goes could be cleaned up a bit for best results.
