It is in good, solid condition with no cracks, breaks, or repairs other than some very old glue repair on one of the hollow wood seed chambers as can be seen photos. Everything works as it should and both sides have their original cast iron seed chamber covers. This was the predecessor to Emerson brantingham and dates 1880s or 1890's. There is some original paint on it and you can still see a bit of the Emerson Talcott name stenciled side.
I've seen only a few of them in lifetime collecting. The last picture shows two pieces that tie sides together. I sold one on a few years ago for over the legs measure about 38 inches long. This is a picture of planter in my collection.
This one may go for more or less but I can say that they're not being made anymore. This is a very scarce planter to add your collection. I can be reached by phone or message if you'd like to talk about it.
Its tough to find unusual farm primitives like this so don't miss it. It is in as found condition from an old farmstead where hung since was retired.
