Item listed is a used Briggs Stratton 5hp horizontal shaft engine. The crankshaft is 3/4 diameter and is long.
The speed control and shut off is set up for a remote cable that attaches under the gas tank typical for these engines, there is also a stud that a remote kill wire can be attached. There's still a cross hatch hone pattern present in the cylinder, this has been run used prior to when I got it. Engine has been properly cleaned, scuffed sanded, etch primed and painted.
The valve tolerances have been checked and are within spec. This has been checked over. This starts up and runs well cold or warm, runs smoothly in all speed ranges and idles nicely.
There is a 5 16 fine thread hole drilled tapped in the crankshaft. The gas tank is clean, the internal components are in good used condition and the crankcase was clean. Please choose the shipping method best suited for cost preference.
Sale is final item sold as used as is buyer pays shipping. This has electronic ignition, a new carburetor diaphragm, fuel tank gasket, sump cover gasket, pull rope, and air filter element have been installed. The engine burns clean, does not smoke and has good healthy compression.
